Nine Trizzay Westcoast Double IPA - 4-pack of 16oz Cans

Fieldwork Brewing

While this Double IPA is as dry as Inglewood in the summer, the 9.9% ABV and bready British malts provide an airbag-like cushion for the massive amount of Westcoast hops that get dropped on it like a 64' Impala. The result is a big bitterness that never gets astringent or out of line, and somehow manages to find some balance between the two opposing factions of malt and hop. Aroma is drenched in juicy melon, grapefruit zest, fresh picked pine needles, and a discrete amount of indo. Flavors deliver as promised with even more complex melon notes of honeydew, blueberry, red currants, a medley of citrus, some sweet hints of Muscat grape, and juicy passion fruit create a jubilee of flavors reminiscent of the pink bottle of Mad Dog 20/20, but only in the best possible way. As the overly fruity hops give way, a quick and short-lasting bitterness cleans the palate and leaves behind tremendously resinous notes of the stickiest of the icky. By throwing such an immense hop-load into this beer we sacrifice yield and sanity only packaging a small portion of what the beer started at; but what is left dons the name Nine Trizzay. [hops: Mosaic, Simcoe, Krush (T90, Cryo, Dynaboost) / 9.9% ABV]
