For our Birchnilla edition of Powerstave we set this giant Imperial Stout down the river Styx resting in Bourbon barrels with yellow birch wood and Madagascar vanilla beans till it reached a harmonious balance of roasty Stout, fruity Bourbon, yellow cake, and vanilla. Keeping true to what we do; this is not in an overly sweet pastry stout, it's everything we love about a normal Barrel Aged Stout with subtle nuance and complexity.
