Misunderstood and regionally unique, whatever it is, the Bock Lager takes all sorts of forms from country to country. However, if you ask us, a Bock has got to have some heft, some size, some weight; they should be groß, not gross. For Rough & Tumble we harken back to a more traditional German Bock, making an oversized Lager packed to the gills with German barley. We cram this semi-dark Lager full of complex caramelized malty aromas, hints of dark plum fruit, intense toasty malt character, and a finish of light roasted coffee chaff. At the end of the day, all Bocks are awesome, whether it's smashing Super Bocks on the beach in Lagos, or relishing in the perfection of Celebrator in Bavaria, these malt monsters are possibly the most underrated of all Lagers.
